NYC, NY Red Cross, and FDNY Launches Home Fire Safety Program #GetAlarmedNYC

Last month, Mayor De Blasio, NYC Council Members, and NY Red Cross launched a new fire safety program, #GetAlarmedNYC, the largest smoke detector giveaway and installation program in the nation.  UHAB is partnering with the Red Cross to bring Get Alarmed and their Home Fire Preparedness Campaign to the HDFC Community.

New Community Training Center

Some 60 shareholders, tenants, representatives of elected officials, and other friends of UHAB showed their support for our affordable housing work as we celebrated the grand opening of our Community Training Center, on Second Avenue and 117th Street in East Harlem.
