New Lead Paint Regulations Will Affect Your HDFC!

As of April 22, 2010, EPA regulations require that any repairs or renovations affecting sixsquare feet or more be done by lead-safety certified contactors.  The law applies to residential buildings built before 1978; as such, the law will affect nearly all HDFCs; here are some tips to avoid being penalized.  Read more...


What You Need to Know About the RPIE Statement

The NYC Department of Finance requires certain owners of residential properties to file the Real Property Income & Expense Statement (RPIE) every year.  The RPIE is due by September 1, 2010.

Most HDFC co-ops are EXEMPT from filing the RPIE form, but the RPIE Exemption Form must be filed on-line.  Your HDFC is exempt if: (1) your property is exclusively residential with 10 or fewer apartments or (2) your cooperative building has 2,500 square feet or more of commercial space.
